I'm a huge fan of "Chunky"... wait, wait...I know that sounds weird but let me explain! I love chunky jewelry, chunky salsa, chunky monkey Ice-cream ( which is my favorite flavor by the way!) but my all time favorite "chunky" of all has to be chunky Knits in the winter time. Let's be real folks, It's cooooooold outside, and to tell you the truth, all I want to do is crawl under a warm blanket and have a date nite with my Netflix account. But with such a busy schedule, I still have to get things done and I rather look good and feel comfortable while doing so. For this look, I made my chunky Cable Knit sweater the center of attention, followed by a dramatically long and colorful scarf, which is ESSENTIAL for chicas like me who are freezing all the time! Not only was my sweater warm, it is a turtleneck also...my neck stayed warm y'all! That's a "W" in my book! Since I'm a master thrift-shopper, I ended up buying my sweater a size too big, I just couldn't pass it up! It was calling my name. So, I threw on my stylist hat and clinched the waist with a nude colored belt to make it more form fitting. Lace-up ankle boots for the winter is a MUST. Distressed jeans is a requirement and a dope ass Fedora hat is..well that's just the cherry on top! Adding such a statement piece with this outfit can be risky, but I'm here to tell you don't be afraid to throw something unique in your ensemble every now and then, the rewards will surprise you! What has me super excited it knowing that I found 90% of my outfit from SECOND-HAND stores. There is absolutely no need to break the bank to look good. So, as we bring in the New Year, let's also bring in the art of saving money while looking good!
Happy New Year!!!
